Thursday, September 12^th, Quantico Marine Corps Base and the National Museum of the Marine Corps(cont.)

We entered The National Museum of the Marine Corps by way of the Leatherneck Gallery where a restored SBD Dauntless dive bomber from World War II and a Vietnam-era Sikorsky UH-34D helicopter hang from the ceiling. We learned about Marines in boot camp, World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War and the Marine�s role in the global war on terrorism.
